Why Attuned?

I created Attuned to get you (and me) music listening features we all should have had ages ago. Features that should have existed before we were born.

I like to listen to music. Why? Because I'm alive. If you are also alive, then you may have run into the same frustrations as me.

I don't want to have to keep telling my music player what to do. Over and over and over again. Things like 'Yes, I know that song is in my library, but I'm tired of it, so stop playing it!'

I like to listen to my music on shuffle. No playlists except for very specific reasons...which are usually tied to my calendar.

For example, on Sundays, I like religious music. On any other day, I like to rock out, except I might have a particular workout mix, that I listen to on the same schedule every week. Sound familiar?

Well, I created Attuned to let me not have to worry about constantly changing what I'm listening to. I have habits, and Attuned works with them, not against them.

Attuned can do the same for you - work with your life, not against it. Provide you a natural, musical backdrop for your life instead of manually shaping one from scratch.

  1. Modes

    - Scheduled queues of tracks pulled from genres and/or playlists

    - Recurring on any day(s) you wish, all day or during specific times

Create a mode to play Hard Rock and Classic Rock during your post-dinner, mellow time (7 - 9 pm)
Create a meditation mode so that you can have those visions of ice cream-pooping unicorns you want from 10 - 12 am

...and anything else you can think of!

Out of the box, Attuned comes with 4 modes:

    1. Wander - shuffle of all your music
    2. Flow - Unshuffled play of all your music, starting at the current track, going by track #, then album, then artist
    3. Mosey - Unsaved custom shuffled playback
    4. Dash - Unsaved custom unshuffled playback
  2. Playlists

    - Just like you are used to, with a full-featured, in-app editor

    - Rename, create a description, reorder, delete, or add to your custom playlist anytime

  3. Auto-skipping

    - If you don't like a song, Attuned will figure that out and auto-skip it for you.

How? Magic. Just like everything else you find on the inter-web.

  4. Automatic Album Art Download

Don't you hate it when you have all those blank spaces where album art should exist in your music list? I do.

    - Attuned pulls album art from MusicBrainz and fills in the gaps where your music files have failed you.

  5. Lyrics

    - Pulled from http://lyrics.wikia.com because it's ILLEGAL to get them pretty much any other way.

If you can prove me wrong on this point, let me know and I'll happily embed them directly somehow.

  6. Database Persistence

    - Pick up right where you left off, every time. You know what you want when you want it, and Attuned stays out of your way.

  7. Auto-timer

Want to fall asleep to the dulcet tones of Bach? Or maybe Metallica?

    - Whatever your preference, you can create a timer that auto-pauses your playback when it runs out.

  8. Listening details

Ever wonder how many times you've actually listened to 'Friends in Low Places' by Garth Brooks?
Or maybe when you listened to that song last?

    - Attuned keeps track of every sing song you've ever listened to since the beginning of time (at least while using Attuned), so that you can see those details at any time.

    - With all that data at Attuned's finger tips, SkyNet can evolve more efficiently and lead to future features like auto-playlists that you actually like, future suggestions on purchases that you actually want, and much, much more!

  9. Intuitive Interface

I did not design the player according to what other players look like. I designed it so that it is very easy and quick to use.
No clutter. No mess. No annoying pop-ups. No unwanted ads (hence the initial buy in price) and no clever misdirection to improve my revenue stream.
Just pure listening pleasure, all the time.

  1. Port to other platforms (primero!)

  3. Cloud synchronization across all devices
  4. Share playlists with friends
  5. Fill gaps in library with ability to purchase albums/songs in-app
  6. Auto-suggest playlists/modes based on listening habits
  7. Incorporate Google Play music (your cloud library only)
  8. Incorporate music you store on DropBox
  9. Continue to evolve SkyNet to infiltrate America's two-party political system.
